Hi fashion aficionados!
We all know in order to support our LOVE for fashion sometimes we tend to sacrifice our
bank accounts and a little bit of our comfort. We have all done it so do not deny it! ;)

Keeping up with the latest trends and designer brands can take a big hit to our wallets. So for this blog we wanted to draw inspiration from the
current trends and designer looks on the catwalk to create realway looks for young adult females to feel comfortable on the streets of California.
Being college students, we can understand the word "BUDGET", so we want to show you how to wear the latest trends and our favorite fashion
looks for less while still having that trendy edge.

As a follower of KBT’s Runway to Realway you can expect a post every week. The posts will cover a trend for spring 2012 with inspirational
pictures of Runway looks and designer ready-to-wear fashion pieces. After the inspirational pictures we will describe how to wear the trend in
everyday looks and show pictures of the realway look. Enjoy :)

Flea Markets of Los Angeles: The Rose Bowl in Pasadena

Recessionistas, break out your piggy banks because it's about that time in the month to hit up some of the best flea markets in L.A!!
I'm choosing to feature the Rose Bowl  Flea Market because it's one of L.A's most popular market for a wide variety of collectibles, fashion, arts, and anything else you could possibly think of.
It will take place this Sunday (March 11) in Pasadena until 4:30pm .Opening times depends on how much you're willing to shell out for exclusive early access:

for $10/person : early entrance from 8a-9am
 $15/person: 7a-8am
 $20/person: 5am-7am
Admission to general public starts at 9am and is $8/person and parking is FREE FREE FREE!

While on the topic of flea markets, I came across an interview with design expert, Michael Ostrow, who got the greatest privilege of teaming up with Heidi Klum (OMG) to share some of his tips on sorting through the chaos to find that special, hidden treasure, here are the top 5.

1) : GO EARLY! The early bird catches the worm!.
2) Carry cash. Most vendors don't take credit cards or visas.
3) Be patient and go deep into the stalls so you don't miss anything :)
4) Make sure you can differentiate between "antique" and
"vintage" so you don't get cheated. Antiques are over 100 years old, vintage between 5-99 years old.
5) Sellers charge less if you purchase more than one item, so feel free to ask for a discount!

Don't worry, I didn't forget that this is still a fashion blog, so I searched for a variety of different fashions worn at the flea market :)
These Calabasas fashionistas describe their style as whimsical and vintage inspired.  Girl on left is wearing a dress from Anthropologie and a hat she bought at the flea market. Girl on right likes adding edgy pieces to her style; she's wearing skirt and sandals from Urban Outfitters and sweater and tank from Anthropolgie.

Here this shopper from Beverly Hills braved the crowds gracefully on roller skates. She's wearing  J Brand jeans and a vintage Chanel purse

Self-proclaimed "vintage country" wearing cowboy boots and a vintage dress

A mix of funky and clean, plus that color of teal is very popular this season

These two friends from downtown L.A. both agree that "comfortable and dark" is the style that best describes them.; wearing leather jackets and...sweatpants!? (hmm)

This Echo Park native likes to mix and match funky pieces, wearing Salt-Water sandals, vintage dress, and her favorite Alexander Wang jacket (love this outfit!)

"I make my own style...homemade fashion, whatever's good for the Earth, man." says Jay wearing a handmade tie-dye shirt, compostable shoes made from recycled materials, and hand-me-down jeans.

Cutest couple alert! Inspired by fashions from the 1930s.
