Hi fashion aficionados!
We all know in order to support our LOVE for fashion sometimes we tend to sacrifice our
bank accounts and a little bit of our comfort. We have all done it so do not deny it! ;)

Keeping up with the latest trends and designer brands can take a big hit to our wallets. So for this blog we wanted to draw inspiration from the
current trends and designer looks on the catwalk to create realway looks for young adult females to feel comfortable on the streets of California.
Being college students, we can understand the word "BUDGET", so we want to show you how to wear the latest trends and our favorite fashion
looks for less while still having that trendy edge.

As a follower of KBT’s Runway to Realway you can expect a post every week. The posts will cover a trend for spring 2012 with inspirational
pictures of Runway looks and designer ready-to-wear fashion pieces. After the inspirational pictures we will describe how to wear the trend in
everyday looks and show pictures of the realway look. Enjoy :)

Bold Prints Trend

Bright, bold, and graphic prints were seen all over the runways this season. Head-to-toe prints were easy to spot and hard to ignore. The majority of these full blown graphics were spotted on boxy tops with matching skinny pants as seen in the collections of Blumarine and Derek Lam. Proenza Schouler and Rodarte added a little more structure by cinching the waist of tanks and adding slightly cropped bottoms. Then, Stella McCartney kept things fresh by sending a paisley jumpsuit down the runway.

REAL WAY LOOKS

Some of us might worry that a head-to-toe printed outfit will land us on the "Worst Dressed" list, so here are a few ways of incorporating bold patterns into every day outfits. The key is to choose one piece as the focal point, and keep the rest simple!

These three women all wore graphic pants that made them look effortlessly cool. Not all graphic pants need to be paired with neutral tops as in the first two pictures. Take a note from the third fashionista who picked a single hue from her colorful pants to match her top to.

If you're not a fan of patterned bottoms, try working the print into a cardigan or blazer like the girl seen here. By keeping her bottoms simple and her top a solid color, the focus stayed on the jacket.

If you're feeling a little more daring, determine the main color of the print and build a whole monochromatic outfit around it. This means choosing a single hue and working in its different tints, tones, and shades. By tying the outfit together through color instead of matching patterns, the outfit is immediately toned down, but the eye is still drawn to the main piece.
